INDIA-MAURITIUS BILATERAL RELATIONS
Political :
- Political relations between India and Mauritius are close, cordial, seen as unique and referred to as of an extraordinary nature given the historical dimension of the relationship and the close and frequent high-level political exchanges between the two countries.
- India and Mauritius collaborate closely in multilateral fora. Mauritius strongly supports of India’s stand on terrorism. Mauritius has also consistently extended its support for India's candidature for a permanent seat in the UN Security Council. It has stated this in public fora including the United Nations General Assembly.
